Connection ( Operation Timed out )

every once in awhile a good chunk of users get disconnected off the server with this message:
( Operation Timed out )

What causes this?

It mostly happens when my ircd hits 300+ members but not all the time.

The ulimit on my server is unlimited and i've ran ultimate ircd fine with no problems uptp 900 users or so.
