The only need would be if you have something to hide, and if you have something to hide, then users who know better won't stick around.
The idea behind "/module" command is so users can see what modules you are using. For example, if a network is using m_spy, then I won't stay there at all. Same result if they chose to disallow the use of /module, because then I cant see if they're running any modules that can be used to invade (most probably illegally) my privacy.
