ircd /version command ....

Post by robc62 »

Hi All,
Not a problem really or fault, I am interested in where the 'reply' to the /version command originates?

I have seen several differing replies on various servers and am wondering if it is 'user adaptable' in some way.

Many thanks,
Rob.

If you mean the version reply that says "UnrealIRCd", it isn't modifiable.

not sure if you see what I am getting at ...
on one server i see this ....

Unreal3.2.7. irc.blah.co.uk FhiXOoE [Linux blah.blah.com 2.6.9-55.ELsmp #1 SMP Wed May 2 14:04:42 EDT 2007 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux=2309]

on another i see this ...

Unreal3.2.7. irc.blah.co.uk FhiXOoE [*=2309]

and both ircd's were installed by myself and effectively use identical configurations. Interesting yeas?
