How to stop the coloured private msg's

Anyone in here wana tell me if there is any mode or way to stop the coloured messages in private msg, i'm getting colored coded texts as advertisments, but i don't wana stop the colours in the channels.

Take a look at the options of your client, eg mIRC has an option to strip bold, colour, underlined etc from messages.
