Since one of the latest updates (in 3.2.8x and for sure in every other version since years it has function) it's no longer possible to add +d (usermode) in any way to other users.
svsmode failes, the adding with u-line modules or any other service commands failes.
If anyone would be kindly adding this to the bugtracker, that would be very fine. I'm pissed off to register to 10000000 several sites.

Setting 'd' is special in svsmode/svs2mode: it's used for the 'servicestamp' so services can set an unique or time-based integer value for every user.
It has been that for many years, possibly even 10+.
