Running the ./Config file and get

checking build system type... Invalid configuration `.': machine `.' not recognized
Anyone have any ideas?

Figured it out added --build=x86_64 in the arguments section of ./config.

Strange. Have not heard before that it would be necessary to add such build options. Anything special about your system? What is it?
