Hello,

I would like to use the + e mode, ban exception. When a user is banned (due to + b) and they are on this + e list then they may still join the channel.
What list are we talking about? It's really not clear.
There is no really clear example.

Could someone give me some examples please?
I would like a person with a particular host to be exempt from ban on a channel.

hello.

* Lord255 sets mode: +e nick![email protected]
* Lord255 sets mode: +b nick*!*@host.tld

nick will be able to bypass the ban which will match him, but nick1,nick2, nick* not (yeap, check the ident too)
so.. the mask will be match against the ban and if it has +e, it can bypass it so join to the channel.

list them:
/mode #channel +e
/mode #channel +b

-- without any param it will give you back the list --

another example:
+b *!*@*.com
this will ban all ppl with hostname ending with .com

if you put a +e like: myfriendsnick!*@*.com
then your friend with myfriendsnick will override the ban
