callerid mod and irc defender

I have a question. Irc defender dont allow non opers to use mode +I . I did not see that mode in the unreal file. Is it save to remove that mode from the irc defender protect. I need that mode to use the callerid mod.

Just want to know if that mode is used for anything else. I dont want to make a security risk.

Usermode +I was removed a long time ago - you can safely use it for your custom module.
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.

Defender... wha? Ugh.

Yeah, you can remove it (from defender's list), it's supposed to be allowed for non-opers :) . Defender still thinks it means what it used to mean, so tell it otherwise :P .

Looks like I'm going to have to have a "few words" with defender's author... :P
