I'd like to request a Module that makes it possible to limit acces to a channel with a maximum nicklengh.
So every user that is IN the channel cannot change its nick to a one that exceeds the max nicklengh on the channel. user with a too large nick cannot join that channel and while setting the mode and someone IS in the channel having a too large nick he might get banned (cannot write) in that channel until he rejoins with a shorter nick.
I have maxnicklengh globally set but sometimes some stupid user mean to be funny and tell stories in their nicks and use really such large nicks... and change and change... Like kiddies does.
I don't want to force all my irc-users to user "short" nicks but sometimes I would like it to give the channelops/Owners the possibility to do that if they like.
Maybe someone agrees with my Idea or still has/Knwos a solution. Otherwise we could discuss a bit mor the advantages and disadvantages here if you want
