request: autoclose query and send notice

Post by skywalker »

is there a module or could someone create a module to instantly closes the query of the other person when a person closes the query? and notice a message also?
something like close query send -notice- theothernick closed the private confersation

or just place theothernick closed the private confersation in the query when someone closes the query. but not send the msg again when the second user closes the query

Lol, when the client closes the query window there isn't a single clue of that sent to the IRCd, it is impossible to track if a client closed the query window.

In short terms, It is impossible.

Just to elaborate on what Severus_Snape said, he is correct a server does not know when you close a query window. The reason being is the IRCd does not know nor care how your client chooses to display the information the IRCd sends, the IRCd sends ALL messages through one connection, which to the IRCd is the same as one window. Your client then chooses what it does with those messages, eg opening windows, or which windows to display the messages in. So to the IRCd you don't even have a query window open anyway.
