Logging (stats) Software

Post by nate »

Appologies if this is the improper forum, but I couldn't think of where else to ask this since its not really a 'Support' question as much as its just a 'General' question.

I'm looking to install something on my servers, sorta like AWStats, which can provide statistical output (and hopefully some types of graphical generated output) on the bandwidth/traffic on the IRC side of things, not necessarily all traffic since the one server, the IRCd isn't the only thing running on it, it also has some web based features.

So in short, i'm looking for something that will log the IRC ports of traffic/bandwidth, set it so it can be put out on pages too, where is why I said it could hopefully put out graphics on the logged content such as AW Stats do.

Anyone know of any software like this offhand? Also note that one server is on XP Professional and the other on a Server 2003 platform, so it would need to currently be compatible on them.

Once again, appologies if this is the wrong forum, I've done the usual Google Search, search of the forums here, can't really find anything which would do what I would like it to.

Using /stats, you may be able to retrieve this information.

Could ask one of the stats program developers if they'd be able to do a module to do this.

Hm... well, i'm hoping to develop something with PHP bot wise that will work to get my /lusers and /list on my network and store it into MySQL, I'm still rather very new to the whole fsockopen bit though.

You think it would be possible offhand to implement GD into that also, by getting a /stats return then program something to output the image in GD based on what it retrieves from the DB?
