Suggestion.

Post by siyavash »

I noticed some of the links to servers, in the donation section which donated are "dead" and no longer working. They seem to not be around anymore.

A suggestion is those should maybe be in another color so we can see which ones are alive and which ones no longer around. :P

Yes he is, and I think this would be a good idea... Too bad it is a long and time consuming task, and it can be inaccurate... Say I had my network on there, and my ISP decides to be crappy the day that they check. Mine would be marked as dead, when in reality, it would be quite lively.

This also requires a ton of maintenence. It isn't something that needs to be done just once, but constantly (weekly/monthy). I think I would prefer the coders doing something more development-oriented (like coding)

Yes, I was talking about unrealircd.com. Sorry I forgot to mention it.

It doesn't have to be real time, The list is not too huge so ONCE a month would do. Someone could take 5 minutes of his time and just check the sites and see if they work or not.

Wouldn't be hard to write something in PHP to do this.

True but I thought in case there is not much time to do so :) Time is indeed hard to come by sometimes.

It's not like it's an urgent matter - and it'd take less time to write the script than it would to check all entries by hand :P
