Services in #services
Hello,
i have two questions.
1.) On an older irc-server i have seen, that all services like nickserv, chanserv... stand in #services. How can i let join all services this channel?
2.) The commands /ns, /os... does not work by me I must ever use /msg <service>... How can i change tis in my .conf?
Great thanks for your help.
Ps:
Sorry for my bad english.

1. You would have to use the RAW commands for operserv which is VERY dangerous and if you mess anything up *which could very easily be done* you will not get any support from the services coders/team.
2. In your config add this *if you are using anope.*
include "aliases/anope.conf";
If you are using a different type of service just simply do cd Unreal3.2/aliases and find the file named after the services you use (ie. anope.conf epona.conf etc. etc.) and just add *anywhere if you config*
include "aliases/filenamehere.conf";
After you do this you need to do a rehash.

Personally I do, so services notices appear in that channel on certain IRC clients
Anyhow, it would be easy to do using RAW, and it's actually not that easy to muck joins up (still not going to help you :p)
(As a sidenote, WinSE will definatly have this I love it)
(Another sidenote, i'll look into creating an ircservices module for this)

Though I can´t see the advantages of having all services in visible in one single channel, I use the os_staychan module for Anope so that ChanServ appears in every registered channel. That way you are able to see whether a channel is registered or not on joining it. I deem this helpful, though others may not.
what's chanmode +r for then?Tenthar wrote:Though I can´t see the advantages of having all services in visible in one single channel, I use the os_staychan module for Anope so that ChanServ appears in every registered channel. We aren't going to help you with the RAW stuff, I'm still trying to find the time to do a module for it. Pop by over http://www.servicescommunity.com and make up a request, i'll try find time over the next few weeks (/months :/).

Sorry-- I'm tired. It shows.
Even more so that I already link to it in my signature.
