IP ban problems

unreal version 3.2.1

an ircop banned kicked someone, it banned there real ip

but the peson after it banned there cloaked mask, she said it only works or happens on some people, how is this happening / possible?

its not her script, becoz 2 other ircops get this as well, one is on bitchx
the other on a different mirc script form this ircop.

IRCops will get the full IP and banned based on that, Non-IRCop's will get the masked IP.

btw, you should *really* upgrade to 3.2.3

yeah, but why is the ircop banning the real ip for one user but the cloaked one for the next ??

ive never really ever had this on my own server, but the ircop i know i know in real life as well, so she asked me about it.

i can only see it being the scripts problem becuz...

the real ip would only be shown to the ircop via..

/whois command
a connecting notice
trace command
userhost command

i really doubt theres a pobrlem with the server itself and its the client doing it...

We only support the newest version of Unreal. Please upgrade, test this problem, and repost if it is still there.

Also, if the problem still exists on 3.2.3, get the IP of the users able to evade bans, and post a bug report (make it PRIVATE, and include your cloak keys).

EDIT: If there is more than one server, remember to be sure the cloak keys on all the servers are the same too. If the cloak keys are not the same, this can happen very easily!
