why on earth would you have opers who abuse their powers? Doesn't make sense to me... Of course you can find modules on http://www.angrywolf.org. I know there is a oper protect module there.

being an oper, do

Code: Select all

//mode $me +q
that's all...
P.S. Re-read docs about can_setq and can_override ;)

can_override and setting yourself on +q -- you can still be kicked by ChanServ / BotServ

I am using Unreal 3.2.5 and Anope 1.7.15 - For Windows

is there any way you can stop Opers from being kicked by ChanServ / BotServ ?

Well there is one blindingly obvious way. Dont use ChanServ, NickServ, etc..

Services can kick anyone for a reason. When Services send the message to kick a user by that point because naturally services can kick regardless they have updated their state data to say that the user is no longer in the channel or connected to preventing the user being kicked at the IRCd will cause a desync between the IRCd's and Services.

when you need to go into a room to deal with a problem - and they can kick you out using ChanServ / BotServ but not kick you out themselves only ChanServ / BotServ can kick you.

I was wondering if there was any way to stop Services kicking you for when you need to go into a room to deal with a problem.

You could always temporarily make yourself the founder of the room or set your access level higher than everyone else. That *should* work.

I don't know about other services but with Anope if you use /os set superadmin on before you enter the channel services will tell them they cannot kick you.
