Connection refused and the forum memberlist

Post by dpb »

Hey.

I tried a couple of weeks ago and today again.
The Unreal IRCd website gives me a "connection refused" message when I try to connect. Is this just me or is this a problem with others too?

And another thing. I browsed the Memberlist on this forum and there's about 130 strange registers with names like 'lbztrhxhhcmsw'. All of them have same kind email addresses too. They have all registered on 26th of april. Why hasn't the forum admins removed these? The forum front page gives a false user count because of these.

Greets,

unrealircd.com seems to be down again. It will be back up as soon as possible. If you require any information EXCEPT unrealircd itself, we'll be more then happy to help you out.

No, I don't need any information. I just try to check once in a while if there's a new version.

We had a mass registration attack on around that date. For information, take a look at this thread.

Yeah. I guessed so much. But the forum admins could still remove those user accounts.

I will remove them. The thing is, sometimes they're hard to find ;) I don't know why the account pruning feature didn't catch those...

Related to the website being down,
Anyone know where to find the correct DBGHELP.DLL version, somewhere on the net? The ones from Microsoft, let UnrealIRCD freeze at startup.

Thanks in advance.

[*edit* oh.. well I don't know if my version of dbghelp.dll will work for you, but you'll see.. w9x/ME sucks anyway ;p]
