Why would you want something like this? The only reason I can think you would need such a feature for is abuse.

SVSKILL allows you to set any quit-reason for any user, but it must be sent via services RAW cmd.

to hide an oper nick in kills is usefull for the opers and also all the servers shows the same kill message even local even in a remote server not : Local kill by bla bla in local server and and : Killed opernick reason in the other server.

just an idea that i see in some others ircd's

whith the same tactic that gline works i mean ;)

Thanks for the reply

The moment you make /kill's anonymous opers will abuse them more and more.

The fact is I as NetAdmin i ask:

any suggestion how to hide the opernick on /kill user et:
/kill nick get out
results bla bla.

I have 8 servers Unreal and i find it usefull for me and for my Opers after a discuss it with them.
Another NetAdmin or Admin may find it not usefull.

May u say to me why i dont choose bahamut or something else for ircd
Thats another thing for another post

That i want it in that post was if anyone have any suggestion how to do this
As i say : just an idea that i see in some others ircd's

whith the same tactic that gline works i mean ;)

The kills is not anonymous for me or from my other cops only for the clients.

i think ud be better reporting this in the bug forums as a feature request to configure the option of showing or hiding the path in kill Quits

I can actually some see justification for this. We don't put the nick of the oper setting a *:line in the ban quitmsg, or in the part msg from /sapart, or similar. But opers can still be held accountable by their admins because of logs and also the server notices still have the full address ("G:Line added for BL@H on... (from oper!blah@blah ...)" or "Received KILL message from oper!blah@blah..."). This is even more true with "global" (actually, remote) kills because opers on all servers see the KILL notice (whereas killing a user on the same server just spews the kill message there though all others still see the "Client exiting ... ([blah] Local kill ...)"). Some admins may have valid reasons to not want normals to know who used /kill (perhaps he requires all ircops to be +H (various reasons why). It half-defeats the purpose of doing that if users can find ircops by watching for killed quit msgs).
