[request] channel divert message?

Post by Jumbo »

i wan something like a new channel mode such as "+M <channel>"

when the channel is under mode +m, the messages that are blocked (from non-vop) will be transfer to the <channel>

thus replacing
#test You need voice (+v) (#test)
by something
#test Your message is transferred to a remote channel

only can be set by ircops and hide the <channel> from being displayed to non-ircops, if possible...

Could you elaborate why you need this mode?
Maybe +u / +mu could do what you want, depending on your use case.
If you don't make mistakes, you aren't really trying.

wont help
what i mean is i wanted to create a report channel for users that
- they may send reports to a moderated channel set by the management with mode "+M #IRCops", such as #Report...
- as a results, messages send to #Report will not be seen by any other people on the channel due to +m
- and the moderated messages will send to #IRCops
- server reply:

#test Your message is transferred to a remote channel

instead of

#test You need voice (+v) (#test)

this mode (+M) can only be set by IRCops and only if the channel is +m
this mode is unset automatically by the server if +m is removed

if possible, make the server only shows "+mM" to the non-ircops instead of "+mM #IRCops"

Why not just set +mu and op all of your ircops?
