well I've always used unreal. since a buddy of mine introduced me to it years ago... Never really questioned it... along the way when I progressed with unreal, I started using others... Hybrid, and others I can't remember how to pronouce or spell... But I always remained a fan of unreal... Because they where the first development team that I actually knew... If I have a question about the code, development, or whatever they were there (mostly) to answer... I guess that same could be said about the others, but shit.... I'm with UNREAL!

That was lame..... I needed e-mail activation to post a response.
My favorite things about Unreal:
1. Messaging/spam filters.
2. DCC filters.
3. Channel filters.
4. Stable.
5. [Win32], because I like Windows 2003 morely than Linux for hosting stuff, because it's funny when people put down Windows, and yet nobody can break into a single Win32 box I put online, nor do they ever crash or require a reboot.
6. Advanced configuration; including:
i. IP cloaking.
ii. VHOST on-oper-up
iii. IRCop ability configuration (defining access levels)
iiii. MOTD specifications per hostmask/address
iiiii. A diverse array of usermodes and channel modes, offering what no other IRCds offer, simply because they suck.
iiiiii. More stuff I can't think of.
7. Sure, Unreal has an assload of bugs, I mean a TON, but they do seem to be fixed. So that's why I use it, because I anticipate every next update, just so I can see the new fixes/updates, making my IRC server feel a little safer and warmer when I use. I love you guys.
8. I don't give a FUCK what anybody else says about Unreal, it's the best. So go fuck yourselves, if you put down this IRCD. You go learn C++ and complex standards of a good IRCD then come back to me with something better. And don't tell me U2, Bahamut, and Hybrid own. That's total bullshit!

As you can see, it takes only one idiot to attack a site to ruin it for everyone .
