FAQ: Booting - Windows - It doesn't start?? nothing happens!
FAQ: Booting - It seems to start but the screen goes away / connection refused ??
In short: you have configuration errors which are logged in the file mention in those FAQ items.
Another way to look at this:
When UnrealIRCd is installed with it's default settings (not installed as a service) then you will get a clear boot screen displaying the errors.
With you that's not the case, that means you have chosen in the setup to install UnrealIRCd as a service (the item that has the associated text 'not for beginners!'). You can uninstall (save your unrealircd.conf first) and then re-run the setup and then NOT choose install as a service.
This won't make the IRCd work instantly, you still need to fix your config errors. You just see the errors more easily.
