The website contest has ended but I am still impatiently waiting for the new website. How long will it take? I've been waiting since January. :P

I am in the process of working on the modules website. It is about 90% complete. I was notified that the lead on the main website --snip-- has been taken over by another coder. All i can say is have patience. You don't want to rush things if you want them to run correctly. :)

You should replace "impatiently" with "patiently" ;) UnrealIRCd supporters, coders and other staff are all volunteers and have other real life commitments that take priority to irc including website development.

Being impatient will not make things happen faster, except raise your level of frustration.

Thanks for your understanding.

Thank you but I guess the volunteer himself should update us with his progress. Just a suggestion :)

The modules site is currently under beta release. http://modules.unrealircd.org

The "Volunteers" can only work on things. I have done what I need to SO FAR. But there is a chain of command that needs to happen on every project done by Unreal, whether it be code, modules, or things such as sites. It is up to the "Staff" to decide when things go public, not the people working on such things. Learn patience and your world will be a whole lot better.

As per your request for "Updates" about how things are going. That is handled privately with the staff of Unreal. No need to make things public as certian things could become a security risk.

Thanks for letting us know, this has now been fixed.
In the future, please use the link at the bottom of the modules site page called 'Report a problem' ([email protected]), as we don't check the forums every day :)

As for the new modules site, see this news item.
We had a few weeks for testing (which turned out to be a good idea), and we also gave existing modules authors some time to respond regarding the transfer of their modules and if they are still willing to maintain them (which was pretty hopeless, I think 2 of them replied).

Thanks Syzop. I do quite a bit of front user testing for a local web design company where i break their cms and user interface as they code it to uncover issues prior to release. if you wanted a hand in this area i would be tempted to lend my skills :)

It's an old thread but in case someone hasn't already noticed - the new website is up and running, check it out and tell us what you think about it ;-).
