I would write a PHP bot to connect and gather that information, then d/c and return it to the user in the webpage
Why the hell can't my signature be empty?

It would get the information from running /links or /map.

As for how, if you don't know how, I suggest finding someone willing to do it for you.

Writing such a php-script is quite easy, just google, you should find lots of examples...

Another method is GNU Thales, that could work too (not that I ever used it... :D )

It might be worth considering using such a thing as http://www.solarstats.net/

Provides the info you want and lots more...

I was about to come up with Axenet, but sad to say it seems to be dead; as long as my question doesn't become too offtopic, is there anyone knowing what happened with that network?

The help is right in front of your eyes:
See `config.log' for more details.
It's time to get familiar with the GNU tools. :)

I can't help more, because I can't take a look in that file. Maybe upload the file to somewhere, show us a link to it, and someone could help you move on.
