rehasing problem: oper.db read error

rehasing problem: oper.db read error

when i rehash the server i recieve a error
*** Notice -- error: Read error on oper.db
how can i fix it ?

Sounds like an error from a module... Are you using AngryWolf's "opers" module? :P

Check if that file exists and the ircd has full permissions to it.

i am using windows 2033 . how can i make ircd has full permissions to oper.db ?

Unreal doesn't have a file called "oper.db" so you will need to talk to whoever wrote the module that created that file.

This is what you would do on XP Pro - 2K3's way of doing it would probably be similar:
  1. Go to Folder Options. In the View tab, make sure that Simple File Sharing is turned off.
  2. You are now able to right-click on oper.db, select Properties, go to the Security tab, and make sure that the user that UnrealIRCd runs as has the necessary permissions to that file.

Well, the only thing that I know of irc related that would have a file called "oper.db" would be services like Anope which would contain OperServ settings such as SQLINES, AKILLS, etc.
