when you restart try this:
/os shutdown Reboot
**wait for services to disconnect**
shutdown the mysqld
/die <pass> Reboot
*wait for mysql and ircd to stop**
then shutdown

Yeah but that can be a pain and hassle that no one should have to do. I know personally, as I have about X000 things that I have to close before shutting down or things just plain go boom... Of course I'm used to just closing everything I can see before the Start->Shutdown->Restart or whatever, but if there was never a need to restart it'd be really nice
