Agreed, it does have its uses, for people who are developing addons for their network, modules etc. But for the normal user who knows basic stuffs, it can be very dangerous indeed.

Always read the docs, understand exactly what you are doing, and the consequences, and if it fails, don't come running to us, we won't help you :wink:

How about, trying to SVSNICK someone to a nick that's already in use? IF that gets sent, one of the two connections will get dropped. OperServ SVSNICK will do checks to ensure that doesn't happen. (If you try it, you get a nice complaint from NickServ(?!) saying that the nickname is in use.)
