no new channels

Hi there,
just wanted to know wether it was possible to config the ircd / set a mode which will prevent regular users from creating new channels on the server, i.e they'll only be able to join channels that already existed?

Search IRC's ircd has that feature, and other limited ones for the purpose of just being a help network. You probably have to code that in, like they did.

so basically you're saying that no one ever really released such code to the public, and i have to code it on my own? are you certain?

ummm may be codemastr or syzop might give some of those special modules free to u & me.... as we cant afford that but still we hope to have them

SearchIRC's ircd is free, but it also has other limited features.. if you want it, PM me and I'll give you the URL.
