dude, if you want support you better start using complete sentences and grammer, this is the second time reading your post and having not clue what you are talking about.

#2 - If you want to attempt timers in C go right ahead. The problem with such a thing is what happens if I'm talking to someone, then someone floods me making me go +D, I have to stop my converstaion (or take it to a channel which defeats the purpose of it being a private message) for a minute? To me, that's more inconvient than just me having to ignore the flooders myself.
#3 - What happens when services go down?

Well +D is probably a bad example of what to do, but adding a SILENCE for the user... Actually, I've been considering a (paid) module for user flood protection, I just haven't had the time to actually do it...

Well that isn't necessarily useful in a multi-user flood, but it certainly would work...
