an example of your TKL block would be helpfull in identifying the problem. Additionaly, your mask (hide part of your IP) would also be helpfull.

Right now there is not enough info to even begin resolving the problem.

You didn't paste your host (out of /whois).

Your except ban block is wrong. You have to specify a hostmask, not an ip. http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIRCd/unre ... ptionblock

Mostly because we are thinking about it, or doing something else. Personally I'm not on the forums all the time - and you are being a little impatient for something that (shouldn't) matter much.

Are you connecting from localhost or a local LAN ip address?

This is a free support forum, you don't get guaranteed support or reply times here. If you need professional support, have a look at http://www.ircdsetups.com/ .

Anyway...
Did you even fix your except ban block? :P

rob, take your IP
and do /dns iphere
then take the results (if u get any)
and add then do this

Code: Select all

except ban {
mask youridenthere@*.resultshere
}
replace "youridenthere" with the IDENT you use for irc
replace "resultshere" with the results of your /dns

if u didnt get any, add your IP there instead...
