Why people use Auspice beats me.

My friend's server runs Unreal 3.1.5.1 and Auspice 2.8 - it barely works. And it's very buggy. For a start, the kill protection on my nick doesn't work (and no, it's nothing to do with nick access lists - mine is empty).

no..

Auspice probably will be better than Epona because Epona's no longer in production. But Anope will rule the IRC world.

Well, you've just proved your comments should be ignored. Do you think we release new versions of Unreal because it is fun? No, we do it because we found and fixed bugs. There have been 2 releases since beta19, it's old and buggy. You should definately upgrade to RC2fix. And about Auspice, you can claim it is stable all you want, but even Auspice's author has admitted it is buggy.

I'm now using anope ... no problems yet ... I love the all the functions of it. Got it linked first try too. I dont think I will be changing any time soon.
Anyone know if it is possible to get a sendmail clone and anope working on windows ?

well what you can do is stop using unstable services! and then stop posting on unreal's support forum because you use unstable services! :)

irc services are by far the most stable services you can find... and there isn't anyone who can defeat that :)

Recommended services are Anope and IRC Services (and there may be others that I don't know about) - they are known to work perfectly with UnrealIRCd. Anything else gets used at your own risk...

hrm...
