Can't send files on my own Unreal network

I've just got unreal 3.2 running fine with anope services 1.6.3 on a linux suse 9.3 pentium 2 setup, the problem is simple,or i thought it was,iv'e got linux on 1 p.c(pentium 2)and windows 2k on another behind a router and i can't send files to any1 on my unreal network from my win 2k p.c..
Now you're probably thinking ah this is a router port prob...wrong
or maybe i haven't got the ports set correctly in mirc to dcc to match the ports on the router....wrong
Lets say i go onto my channel that iv'e setup on another network and try and send and recieve files, it works fine, and any other network come to think of it,but if i go onto my network i can only recieve files, but i cant send.
Do i need to set something up in unreal or services so that i can send files on my network or maybe add another listen block or something?
any help would be appreciated
and yes iv'e done a search on here for ' cant send files or dcc on own network'

If your network is hosted on the same LAN as you, then you need to go into your clients options and find where to set your IP. You should set the IP to your public IP that other users see.

In mIRC, this can be done by going to Options > Connect > Local Info

ok that sort of works, now i can send on my network but not recieve, but i can both ways on other networks this is weird, firstly it says unable to resolve local host on the person's side who is sending to me on my network, yet if we go onto another network its fine, its sends and recieves, any other ideas?
cheers for the last 1

Make sure the other person does the same things to his/her settings.

EDIT: Also have the other person check his/her firewall settings.

yeh that doesn't work either,i've been a user of mirc for about 2yrs,a channel founder for about a year,so i know the ins and outs of mirc pretty well,i guess its just a bug with mirc that iv'e got this prob,
the way iv'e solved it is,i use a bot to send and mirc to recieve,i know its a long winded way of doing it but it works....
Like i said if i go off my network and use the other networks mirc works fine.i can recieve and send and mirc recognises its self in the local info...very strange if ya ask me...Thanks all for trying, does anyone else have this prob with mirc on there network?

If you are using the dccallow.conf file you may have to have the other person do: /dccallow +yournick.
