Connection Timed Out

Ok I have set up my server I can connect to it via 127.0.0.1, so so far so good but it seems no one else can. I've opened port 6667 on my router but still no one can connect. They get the 'Connection Timed Out' message which (apparantly) means that the specified ip/address doesn't exist. How could this be? So I double checked that the server package was running; yep looks good, but still not getting anywhere. Any ideas?

Already seen it; didn't help... Could you do a port scan?

Two things to be sure of, most especially if you've more than one system on that main router.

1) Are you positive you set port forwarding so it will forward all ports on port 6667 to that system running UnrealIRCd, you however don't need to do this if that system is set as the primary NAT IP or Passthrough/DMZ, etc.

2) Is UnrealIRCd listening on port 6667? If you have a local software firewall, perhaps check its connection table to see what all ports UnrealIRCd is listening on and make sure its allowing connections from there also.
