I really need help
i am completely new to this and want to learn but everywhere i turn its leading me in circles.

Read the documentation (yes the whole docs!) in your /doc/ directory and use the provided example.conf file as a starting point for your own configuration. For every block in there check the corresponding section in the documentation first.
If you have questions, read the FAQ http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/faq/ - or if your questions isn't in there, ask here...
