I'm a newbie using ircd, could anyone tell me if exist free shell accounts ? like free web hostings but for irc servers hosting. If exist, please gimme the url of the best one.

There are no shell providers that would give out free IRCd shells in their right mind, and if they are, they are usually hosted on home cable connections that can't stay up for more than a few days.

You might as well just pay a few dollars a month for a shell account. They provide some form of stability, and you certainly do get your monies worth.

I have a friend who does, but you were a little late, he only has one IP and 6667, 7000, etc are taken, and hes not willing to host more IRCd shells.

And his uptime is decent.

I'm hosting one for a friend. Good uptime. Just an odd port, because I took 6667,7000,6697. I dont host for just anyone though.

Scratch that.

Hes getting another IP, check back in a week.
