Hello, everytime I set the modes-on-oper. I get the +c snomasks and that shows local connects. Although, I don't really want it and is not necassary at this time.

I have
modes-on-oper "+Wokgs";
And it still sets the mode +c

how do I disable +c?

Thanks!

Take +s out of set::modes-on-oper, and read the docs for set::snomask-on-oper

Hm, sorry to report.. But still wouldn't work...

I took off the +s but still didn't quite work.

I even took out the whole "modes-on-oper" and it still showed all modes.

so, where else in the config would I have to disable it?

Thanks!

I think you missed part of the instructions..

Matridom: I did read the docs or else I wouldn't be posting?

http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/unre ... e_snomasks
I read the snomask section and I still can't find an answer. Honestly, what's so hard about telling someone something you already know? you know... I have a life and don't have time to read every single doc. Although, I DO read the doc when I get stuck on something.. I look at the section I'm looking for.. SO, I looked for the "snomask" section and didn't give me an answer...

Like I said, I removed my +s ... in the config. But it still sets me on +s everytime.
Please tell me where it says how to set the snomasks in unrealircd.conf,

Thanks

Cause we have a life also. I spent the time reading the documention on getting everything setup, I'm here to help people with *problems* not teach them things they can easily read in the documentation and solve themselves.

now.. RIGHT FROM THE DOCUMENTATION

http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/unre ... #operblock

Code: Select all

4.7 - Oper Block RECOMMENDED (Previously known as the O:Line)

oper <name> {
	from {
		userhost <hostmask>;
		userhost <hostmask>;
	};
	password <password> { <auth-type>; };
	class <class-name>;
	flags <flags>;
	flags {
		<flag>;
		<flag>;
		...
	};
	swhois <whois info>;
	snomask <snomask>;
	modes <modes>;
	maxlogins <num>;
};

you see where it says "snomask"?

what you put there is what the snomask will be for that oper when they oper up.. what's so hard about that?!?

Exactly, It wasn't in the "snomask" area. In the "oper block".

Be WAY more specific next time. And if you're saying that you can't help someone that you already know because you have a "life"... you did a good job pointing me to the FAQ, however... try to be WAY more specific next time? If you're just going to reply saying "read the doc" then just don't reply at all. It's rude.

When I had problems with my unrealircd, the first thing I check is the doc. I don't read it all as I normally have a lot of things to do and there is a lot of reading that I would already know. I look for the sections that have to do with my problem. I'm not gonna read every single section...

So, I thought asking someone who already read the whole doc would point me as to what part of the doc describes problem or to just simply answer it for me... but some people *coughs Matridom* have nothing better to say than "go read the docs".

Now, Matridom please don't reply to this thread or any other threads that I post because you think they're "lame".

Nothing, I just couldn't find where the answer was.

And if it took you that easy to find it... why didn't you just post it in your first post? it would've been a lot better than the "read the docs" post...
