I am using unreal installed from the port and assume i have made the correct changes to my unrealircd.conf file. When i try to start it nothing seems to happen and the logs empty infact the do not even exist. Do not know where to begin as i usally start troubleshooting with logs also nothing in /var/log/messages either

you make sure you compile the unreal correctly?

I dont reccommend that you use the ports installation of unrealircd.

It is incredibly much easier to manage a self-compiled installation
