I wanted to make sure our 4 servers automaticaly rejoined the network if they got separated so i activated autoconnect on the links.
But instead of the 100s between connects it's more like 100/s which effectively flooded me of irc.

I'm not that sure as to how servers connecting could flood people from the server. but you maybe talking about the notices from the server when an other connect(s). You should append your snomasks to protect your self from being flooded with the notices,

what is the setting for the autoconnect period?
