Hi everyone, this is probably a typical newbie question, but I made my way through the documentation and I still don't get it.

I installed the "joindeop"-module and it does, what it is supposed to do: Not to give operator rights to a user, who created a channel. Now however, I'd like to have operator rights on this channel, even though I'm not the creator of it.

Since I'm logged in as "IRC operator", I'm thinking I can obtain those rights by setting the "o-mode" for my nick. Am I wrong?

If you have the can_override flag in your oper block you can simply type /mode #channel +o yournick to gain channel operator status.
