I have the oper working. And I will time in /oper username password and in the server config I have myself with netadmin and can_override but everytime I attempt to type a command in to the channel other than /oper username password it says I am not a channel operator. I am using the /mode #channel name +o nickname of user I am in as. Is there anyone who can let me know what I might possible have done wrong? Thanks

You're missing OperOverride.

It is possible you compiled UnrealIRCd to disable OperOverride support which means that even with the can_override flag you wont be able to use the priviledges given to you by the flag.
