I know someone will tell me to RTFM but, I have looked and looked and just can't find it. When I do a WHOIS the 312 response is something like:
MyServer.com :Home of MyServer.com
Now, I want to change that, and I remember setting it as I set up Unreal , but I can't find or remember where it is.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

Check the me {} block of your unreaalircd.conf file.
And as for someone saying RTFM check my avatar. LOL

lol, thanks for the help. I had tried that and rehashed and nothing changed. But, when I restarted the server, the changes went through. I know, that's probably in the manual too
Anyway, thanks for your help

Some settings (like those) require you to restart UnrealIRCd and not just rehash.
Now you know for the future anyway.

"Some settings (like those) require you to restart UnrealIRCd and not just rehash. "
Is there a list of which settings require a restart and which can use rehash?
Thanks

Unfortunatly i am yet to find such a list but the best thing to do is if you change a setting and it doesnt take effect after /rehash then it requires a restart.

me::name needs a restart
me::info aparently needs a restart
me::numeric needs a rehash and delinking from all other servers & services.
Modules marked permenant need a restart.
I think that's it.

DNS settings also need a restart, unless they fixed that... But that is irrelevant, because Unreal ignores those settings.
