sorry to pester you guys so much - but i am having trouble with these when i add them in with this:

What's the problem? Filter seems to work/match fine (only tried the 1st).

Maybe you could explain some more what the problem is / what you are looking for :)

i ment how to add them manually onto my spamfilter.conf like this:

spamfilter {
regex "Welcome to the Sizzling PC Blowout Sale";
target private;
action gzline;
reason "[autobanned]: You are infected with ONJOIN spam. Please reinstall your copy of mIRC, then email: [email protected] with this full quit message.";
};

am unsure if i need to add the colors in with it to catch the colors or if i just add certain words to it.

oh ok.

colors (and bold/underscore/reverse/rgbcolor) are stripped from the text before processing them through spamfilter, so no.. no need to add colors etc.

Then again, this is not any different with the /spamfilter command ;P

since i seemd to have asked it wrong the first time, i will try to rephase this. can someone show me the hardcode to place into my spamfilter.conf for these 5 spams?

http://www.vulnscan.org/UnrealIrcd/unre ... spamfilter should help you with that. Just dont forget adding a spamfilter to your config files makes it a local ONLY spamfilter meaning it wont take effect on other servers unless its in their config too.
