the message on my irc client is this

[9:26am] -server.com- *** Notice -- 3455 is rehashing server config file
Â«Â«Ã±Ã¶tÃ®Ã‡Ã‹Â»Â»unrealircd.conf Rehashing
[9:26am] -server.com- *** Notice -- Loading IRCd configuration ..
[9:26am] -server.com- *** Notice -- Configuration loaded without any problems ..
[9:26am] * Disconnected

i had the same problem after i recompiled the ircd. i also copied the stuff off the old config and made a new one from scratch but same problem occurred. any ideas?

Something in the log?

Any .core files?

yes there is an ircd.core file
