Okay, here goes.

I fixed all errors, now it won't start.

Image
Taken from services.log:

Code: Select all

* Loading IRCd configuration ..
[error] Couldn't open "unrealircd.conf": No such file or directory
[error] Could not load config file unrealircd.conf
[error] IRCd configuration failed to load
The file is in C:\Program Files\Unreal3.2, it is called unrealircd.conf. (don't give me this link: http://www.x-tab.org/unreal.html#missing_conf, it's not the problem) The file is fine, made from example.conf, and is completely configured.

What is wrong!!!

Are you sure it's not Unrealircd.conf.txt? Is that file the only one showing an extension? if so it is probably a .txt file.

There can't be something else than it's called unrealircd.conf.txt or that it is not in the directory.

Couldn't see picture at school PC for some reason and that makes this post useless.. Why can't users delete their own posts btw?

Well it's right there in the picture. http://evansserver.info/web_access/unrealircd.conf

P.S. I am running this in Vista and I have to give it admin privileges for it to work.

Running Unreal as a service in Vista doesn't work. You need to remove the Unreal service and run wircd.exe.

These instructions tell you how to remove the Unreal service and run it: http://www.x-tab.org/unreal.html#service

You can run Unreal as a Service in Vista. I use Notepad++ http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm as my editor. I didn't run Notepad++ as Administrator so it wouldn't write to the files. Problem solved.
