Hi Unrealircd Team:

wondering what tools are needed to configure an unreal server just using windows? do i need certain software from other sites? a compiler? some other form of java? sorry a newbie here just wanted the rights tools to get me started on it.

The FAQ says that to compile Unreal on windows that MS Visual Studio .NET 2002 or later is required. Alternatively, there are prepackaged Windows downloads, with and without SSL compiled in etc. - refer the 4 "Win32" download links on http://www.unrealircd.com
