Hi
I'm fairly new to setting up an IRC server. I downloaded and started configuring today for a farily simple SSL setup.
Right now I'm having trouble making nick authentication work. What I want to do is to get the /nickserv command to work.
Right now it only says:
Services are currently down. Please try again later.
When I try it.
I want it set up so that users can't join channels if they are not authenticated, and they should be disconnected after one minute.

http://www.ircservices.za.net , there are other services as well not just ircservices

Ok, thank you, i will try this. I'm on a windows system but hopefully they will have a package for that too. If not then I'll look around for another one.

I've just contacted the maintainer of th win32 port, hopefully he will have version 5.0.36 shortly on his site. (Currently 5.0.32 is available.)

Ok that's good to know. Will try that tomorrow.
I have also found another pack of services that should work with Windows, do not have the name handy right now though. I'll drop a line when I do.
Is the ircservices pack developed specifically to fit with unreal btw?

No, most IRC Services packages support multiple IRCd's HOWEVER those that support unreal do so completely with the exception of those that are no longer maintained.
IRCServices and Anope are 2 that support Unreal 3.2

That's as I thought then. But i figured IRCServices might have been developed with Unreal in mind even though it is generic.
I will try IRCServices since Anope does currently not support Win32 officially.
