Hello everyone. It's so that when i try to connect to my irc domain (irc.r0xyourb0x.com for example) it's can't connect/ find it. I now wonder if there is some where in the config file (There is no errors when unrealircd starts) i need to change or do i have to obtain one from a website?

You actually have to register a domain such as r0xyourb0x.com for it to actually work.

Setting it in your unrealircd.conf wont automatically register it for you nor will it set up the irc.r0xyourb0x.com A record in the DNS either.

Ok, thanks. Sorry for bumping but i got 2 more questions i been wondering. How can i do so that other users most use FiSH to their clients to connect to my server. Do i need to use blowfish (or any other cipher? Or download anything and then configure it into unreal's config?)

And is it so that either link a ftp server to my server and let people use /ftp ftp://ftp.example.com ?

FiSH is IRCd independent so it will not require any special configuration. You will however need it yourself if you wish to chat with people through it yourself.

As for FTP, that's a little outside the scope of this forum.

Ok, thanks. Apologize for this newbie question but how to i then get FiSH to load with unrealircd or is it only via Clients it can load?

It's only clients that can load FiSH. And that's really a question for FiSH's support.

OK that i know. But when i was on a private IRC server, i had to have fish to see what they were typing. The thing was that i wondered was how that is possible (i know there is some sort of hash encryption)?
