Connection refused after 10 clients

i saw a few post with this in it but more the a year old

i have max clients set to 500 and have change it to other numbers.

but after 10 clients even if i log on to the local address any one new gets connection refused

any clues did not see any fixes in other post's

Hello, MercAngel.

This could infact be related to your hosting company, or shell provider. I suggest you should check up if they allow IRC daemons to be ran, This may be the problem to why it's not letting anymore then 10, Maybe it's blocking it because IRCd's are not meant to be ran, connection refused normally means the server is refusing the connection, i mean server as in shell, so check up with your providers, ask them for help if possible, submit a ticket maybe.

ok it is not my isp they do not block any thing as i work for my isp

also it only from outside the local network and the router is also set to a high connection count

and it is 10 per port useing 6667, 6668, 6669 and if any get 10 clients on it any one new gets Connection refused
