i am running windows xp with unreal ircd and i would like to get services going... im using alterserv but its not letting me do stuff properly like auto op on reged chans and set owner when u join the chan..

I just went over to the AlterServ website to check things out. Version 2.1 mentions nothing about this in their docs, and version 3, which is undocumented, seemingly hasn't been touched since 2000.

I would seriously consider using other services. As you probably know, finding Win32 services are a bitch, but I did a Win32 installer for IRCServices (which was compiled on the Cygwin environment) the other day. You can get it here. Apart from the status window not staying open when errors occur, it appears to work fine.
