Hi
I have an UnrealIRCd 3.2.10.2 server that is running well for chat, however I am unable to send files to other users.
I have a linux router with ip tables which manages the traffic.
What options need to be setup in iptables for DCC send to work correctly?
Regards
eyerc

Re: DCC Send via iptables router
DCC sending only uses the IRC server to send the send/receive request between the users, the rest is done with direct connections between the users themselves without the server (hence Direct Client (to) Client). In order for DCC to work properly, the sending client needs to have the proper port forwarding configuration set up on their own internet connection so the receiving client may connect directly and transfer the file. Also, the sending client needs to have the proper settings to send his/her public IP address to the receiving client, otherwise the connection won't go through at all.
Setting up DCC and assisting users in doing so on their own networks is outside the scope of these forums. I would suggest contacting with your client software's support/development team to learn about the proper settings for your client and network.
