Fail Oper Attempts Punishment

Post by ComputerTech »

Was wondering and reading, but does unreealircd have a feature like this?

A user attempts to oper up, and after 5 fails, the network disconnects/kills the user

Does this feature exist? :|

I don't think it exists, but it could be possible to create a filter in fail2ban. But it won't be network-wide

nah. not built in but there is a module for it

Code: Select all

$ ../unrealircd-5.x.x/unrealircd  module list | grep operpass
See https://www.unrealircd.org/docs/Module_manager for more information.
| | third/operpasswd | 2.0 | Snomask for failed OPER attempts with the ability to kill

enjoy.

i just have only one note for your cp: please read the docus, try to search on google and check whatever you have.. cuz this would be easy to find on google and it's mentioned in several places and of course.. check the module manager 1st..
would be great if you wouldnt ask. you are a nice guy who could do things without asking, but you think its easier to ask 1st then just try to look it up by yourself.
from now on, 1st do your best, then ask. i think it would be better for you too. and i encourage everyone to do the same.
