Hide specific server join notices?

Hi, so at first I was happy to see the netsplit bot connect and disconnect periodically.
But now, I'd prefer not to see it fill up my status window.

I did not have any luck with (or perhaps failed to properly understand) the use of snomasks to hide these connects/disconnects.

Can someone advise me on how to go about hiding this?
Thank you.

Hello,

You can view all SNOMASKS using /HELPOP SNOMASKS command, you can set/unset any SNOMASK you want.

Examples:

/mode yournickname +s +cF
/umode +s +cF
/mode yournickname +s -cF
/umode +s -cF

Also you can hide remove all your SNOMASKS via /mode yournickname -s or /umode -s

We can also contact us anytime on our IRC server: irc.unrealircd.org on #unreal-support

- Thanks!

Thank you for the reply. However these commands (in particular, c and F) will hide all connects/disconnects. What I'm hoping to do is hide only a specific IP/host's connects/disconnects.

Is this possible?

Actually, there's no way to hide a specific IP/hostname from connection notices.
Connection notices were made to make IRCops aware of who's connecting/disconnecting from the network in order to manage things properly.
Hiding a specific IP/hostname would kinda defeat the purpose of why such feature exists.

Cheers

hi, this sounds like something that your client would need to modify.
if your client supports running scripts, search up the website for it and see if you can find any further information/contact them instead :)
